a couple of years ago a student of mine tipped me off to bibliOdyssey where the author posts images scanned from beautiful old books. tons of great images and a categorized archive-you could spend hours on this blog, every link is a treat...above are some examples of my favorite categories: illuminated, flora and fauna.
