Paper has been used for communication since its invention; either between humans or in an attempt to communicate with the spirit world. I employ this delicate, accessible medium and use irreversible, destructive processes to reflect on the precariousness of the world we inhabit and the fragility of our life, dreams and ambitions.

  1. Ah, Su Blackwell's artwork. I love it so much that I developed a project for my 3D students to do where they alter PB books. It is so inspiring and beautifully rendered. Thank you!

  3. Heart-wrentchingly beautiful (is that a word? spell check thinks not) I can't imagine a more succinct portrayal of how an amazing book blossoms off the pages, I'd never put one of these down
